BiographyBessie Obiageli Kaine was born to Anambra State father, Minister Charlie Olisa Kaine, and Delta State mother, Mrs. Grace Kaine, in Los Angeles, California. Bessie is a creative, business-minded, and spiritual individual who strives to continually grow and do great things in her life. She graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a minor in International Marketing. She developed a passion for entrepreneurship from her father, who helped her launch Bessie Kaine Enterprises at the age of 17. Her vision of looking beyond the U.S. and doing business abroad encouraged her to add a minor in International Marketing. Bessie was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for completing the Cal Poly Pomona Student Development Leadership Program, and was recognized for her outstanding academic achievement by being placed on the President's Honor List and Dean’s List. Aside from her business-related interests, Bessie possesses 8 years of professional technical experience. She earned her A+ Certification in computer repair and worked as a computer technician. Her technical abilities range from designing small business websites to troubleshooting network issues. Bessie was voted in as Marketing Director for the Annual Cal Poly Pomona Information Technology Competition (ITC). She prides herself in her ability to assist in bringing people into the 21st Century via technology. Recognizing that she is an American with Nigerian roots, Bessie makes an effort to give back both locally and abroad. She has volunteered her time to Habitat for Humanity, Braille Institute, L.A. Food Bank, various soup kitchens and relief efforts for hurricane Katrina victims. She also assists with her parent’s non-profit organization, B.E.C.A. Charities. “B.E.C.A.” stands for Better Education for Children of Africa. She strives to see its mission fulfilled, which is providing donated school supplies to the neediest primary school children in the rural parts of Africa. Bessie currently works for Bethel A.M.E. Church. She has a passion for music and a deep love for dance. Her ultimate goal is to use her God-given skills and talents to help improve the lives of others.
