About Me

          My main motivation for joining the competition was the fact that I could represent an experience that I have lived my entire life--living as a Nigerian in America (read my bio).  I was also excited that I met all the requirements for the competition: between 18 and 28, not married, in school or graduated from college, etc.  I never like to pass up a great opportunity, so I made sure to submit my application the same week I learned of the competition.  Long story short, by the grace of God I was selected to represent the state of Abuja, 2008 Miss Abuja!  This just goes to show that a little determination with a little action produces great results (read about how this pageant works).
